1. Moonlight Drawn By Clouds/Love In The Moonlight

Ondal tourist park is the filming location of all the princes’ residences and palaces in the show. Boseong Green Tea Plantation

The scene in which Heo Jun Jae saved Mermaid/Sim Chung from being killed was filmed at the Boseong green tea plantation. Simgok-ri, Gangdong-myeon, Gangneung

This castle was the accommodation our couple headed to after Heo Jun Jae rescued Mermaid from the shopping mall entrance: yes, the place where Mermaid played with the power sensor while Jun Jae was showering! This grand castle located near Barcelona is the perfect location for anyone to feel like a princess or prince during their pre-wedding shoot.

Tossa de mar

The beautiful walled city that our couple ran around while trying to get away from the mob of gangsters is located in Girona, Spain. The medieval feel of the city is sure to make any pre-wedding photo unique.

Tower of Hercules

The place where Heo Jun Jae lost his mum, Tower of Hercules is an ancient Roman lighthouse located in La Coruna, Spain that affords a dramatic coastal scenery that extends as far as the eye can see. This majestic location would be a beautiful backdrop for pre-wedding photos.

Playa de las Catedrales

The cliffs where Jun Jae and Mermaid were cornered to and ended up jumping from into the sea below are located at Ribadeo, Spain. A breathtaking location with unique rock formations and a beautiful beach that appears during the low tide, this is a photoshoot location not to be missed.

Where our cute couple enjoyed a sweet picnic date together,  with Bong Soon even cooking Min Hyuk a cute lunch box against the beautiful and shimmering Han River.

World Cup Park

Another park! But this time it is where Min Hyuk brings Bong Soon to visit his mother’s grave and thereafter take a stroll along the tranquil river. The trees that line the park’s walkway create a lovely and mystical effect that would beautifully frame any pre-wedding photo.

Daepohang Port Light House

The adorable scene where Min Hyuk brought Bong Soon to the beach side for their first date was at none other than Daepohang Port Light House! Re-create their adorable date by heading there with your significant other to snap some photos.

Cafe Valor

The classy and elegant interior of the cafe where Han Se Joo held his book signing at is actually located in Seoul, not Chicago, and it is a gorgeous place for an elegant indoor pre-wedding shoot.

Forest of Wisdom

The library in which our main character shot an advertisement at is called the Forest of Wisdom, and wise the atmosphere definitely looks! The library also appeared in Weightlighting Fairy Kim Bok Joo and She Was Pretty, it is a must-go for fans of these dramas!

Cheonggyecheon Stream

The stream by which Han Se Joo and Jeon Seol take a walk by, together with ghost Yoo Jin O. The stream is an undeniable romantic place to stroll through together with your special someone with all it’s beautiful decorations.

Kyung Hee University Grand Peace Hall

The location of the event that Kang Chul was invited to, this grand building is actually the facade of a university in Korea! Some universities in Korea are really pretty and have been used in various drama shoots, so don’t forget to check them out!

BOM Farmers’ Garden

The cafe where Kang Chul brought Yeon Joo for a date after he realised he was previously Yeon Joo’s husband. It is also at this cafe that they share their 5th kiss. With a lovely garden right outside this cafe, it is a beautiful place to hold both an indoor and outdoor shoot.

A stunning lake where a pavilion lies, the place King Woo listened to musicians playing music. The soft, gorgeous sky reflected on the clear lake makes this place a must-go for anyone looking for a gorgeous photoshoot location.

Eco Green Campus

The vast green pastures of the Eco Green Campus are where Bang Won chased Boon Yi and where Bang Ji and Yeon Hee meet each other again. This scenic pasture is an ideal location for couple who enjoy a romantically frolicking on green fields.

Mt Seongheung Love Tree

The Tree of Love is the tree under which Yeon Hee finds Ddang Sae brooding under and where he breaks down and calls himself a coward. Since its first appearance in the drama Ballad of Seodong, the tree has become a symbol of love which makes it the tree for couples to take pictures under.

9. Descendants Of The Sun

Navagio Beach

The famous beach on Zakynthos Island where Yoo Shi Jin brings Kang Mo Yeon to where a shipwrecked vessel lies. With the stunning scenery around the beach and the budding love line that was fostered there, Navagio beach is the place for couples to visit and have their photos taken at.

Monastery of Panagia Skopiotissa

The monastery makes up the backdrop of the military camp in Uruk and it is located on Mount Skopos, Zakynthos, Greece. The ruins surrounding the beautiful church is surrounded by a wonderful panoramic view of the surrounding scenery. Our lead characters had plenty of cute and romantic moments around the church and ruins so they are definitely worth a visit – and photograph -with your significant other.


Arachova is the village used in the urban setting of the show where Yoo Shi Jin and Kang Mo Yeon went for dates. A picturesque village nestled at the foot of a mountain, it affords a breathtaking view of the landscape that would be a beautiful backdrop for pre-weeding photos.

Nagok Deep Sea Fishing Park

The location of the cabin where our main characters head to in the last few episodes is none other than the beautiful Nagok Deep Sea Fishing Park in Uljin, Gyeongsangbuk-do.
