Terry & Maggie’s New Zealand pre-wedding shoot moved through several sides of the South Island, from golden autumn trees and quiet lakesides to a yellow vintage aircraft set against open countryside. The day shifted easily between polished wedding portraits and more adventurous moments, before returning to turquoise water, tall forests, and wide mountain views. With every change of setting, the story stayed relaxed and unhurried—more like a day spent exploring together than a sequence of formal photographs.
South Island
The South Island gave Terry & Maggie plenty of contrast within a single journey. They walked beneath trees turned completely gold, stayed close beside still water, and stepped out onto open fields where a bright yellow vintage aircraft changed the mood entirely. The plane brought a playful sense of adventure to the shoot, while the later lakeside and forest scenes returned everything to a quieter pace. Maggie’s gowns moved from classic white to a softer blush tone, each taking on a different character against the changing landscape. From autumn foliage to turquoise water and tall woodland, the day felt connected less by one location than by the experience of moving through New Zealand together.
