It was incredibly special to welcome US-based couple Madalyn and Evan to Dalat for their two-day pre-wedding shoot.
Madalyn, a dermatologist in the United States, has Vietnamese roots. Choosing Vietnam wasn’t just about beautiful landscapes — it was deeply personal. She wanted Evan to see this side of her. The culture, the atmosphere, the quiet details that shaped her heritage.
What unfolded over the next two days wasn’t just a photoshoot. It became a meaningful journey — one that blended love, identity, adventure, and connection in the most natural way.
We began Madalyn & Evan’s Dalat adventure before sunrise, chasing that soft morning mist that gently blankets the lake.
With florals styled on their little boat and the world still half-asleep, everything felt quiet and intimate. There was something almost sacred about that hour — just the two of them drifting across calm waters, easing gently into the start of something special.

From the quiet mist to the lively streets, Madalyn & Evan jumped right into the rhythm of the city at Dalat Market. They wandered through colorful stalls, tasted yummy street food, and weaved between scooters, crossing busy streets like it was all part of the adventure. Nothing felt staged — it was spontaneous, real, and full of laughter.
A light drizzle began to fall, giving the bustling streets a dreamy glow. Under umbrellas and glowing signboards, everything felt cinematic in the most effortless way. And of course, we couldn’t resist capturing a few adorable moments with a classic red Vespa — such an iconic local element that added movement and personality to the entire scene.
The second day began with a sense of adventure. Before the city fully stirred awake, Madalyn and Evan hopped onto scooters and made their way up Dalat’s winding hill roads. The cool morning air brushed against their faces as they rode higher and higher toward the clouds. It wasn’t just transportation — it was part of the experience.
There was something freeing about riding up together, watching the landscape unfold beneath them. High above the city, at a quiet hilltop pagoda, the atmosphere shifted completely — serene, airy, almost suspended in time. The highlight here was truly the Áo Dài experience.
Seeing Madalyn and Evan dressed in traditional Vietnamese attire felt incredibly meaningful. For Madalyn, this moment carried depth — it was a reflection of her roots, a quiet tribute to her heritage, and a beautiful way for Evan to witness and embrace that part of her story.

Last but not least, our final stop was at a magical waterfall tucked within Dalat’s lush nature. Mist swirled around them and a cool breeze filled the air. The sound of rushing water created a powerful backdrop, yet the moment between them felt intimate.
With styled florals and Madalyn’s veil flowing with every movement, the entire scene felt cinematic, romantic, and just a little wild. It was the perfect close to two days full of adventure, culture, and unforgettable memories in the city of eternal spring.
