Pium Studio Review: Hong Kong Couple Gets the Hassle-free Korean Wedding Photoshoot of their Dreams

Korea Wedding Photography

Client: Yuki & Bryant from Hong Kong

Wedding photoshoots in Korean photography studios have been all the rage lately, and we understand why. Who can resist these simple yet alluringly elegant photos? Especially when they offer a one-stop all-inclusive package that includes wedding gowns, hairstyling and makeup services, photo-taking and even photo-printing!

For our busy Hong Kong couple, Yuki and Bryant, who had little time to source for their bridal outfits and props for their wedding shoot, a Korean studio with its all-in-one pre-wedding photoshoot package was the perfect find. While randomly browsing online for Seoul pre-wedding photoshoots, our couple came across OneThreeOneFour which helped them to coordinate their bookings and accommodate to their photo needs.

Pre-Photoshoot Session

Before the actual photoshoot Yuki had simple hairstyling and makeup done in the bridal boutique they chose, Aviigail. This is a standard process in Korean bridal boutiques to ensure that brides are able to better visualise their look with their gowns during the actual photoshoot.

Photoshoot Day

On the actual day of the photoshoot, our couple first headed to the salon, Jenoflavie, to have their hairstyling done.

Yuki and Bryant then proceeded to the studio where they are able to choose different settings around the studio that they would like their pictures taken at. Our couple chose 15 different sets for their photos!

Language Barrier? Fret Not.

Pium Studio, like most Korean studios, offers an interpreter throughout the duration of the shoot. The bridal coordinator assigned to help Yuki throughout the photoshoot also helped to translate and coordinate between our couple and the photographer, helping him to work with them. She also helped our couple buy food and drinks throughout the shoot.

"They were extremely nice and helpful throughout the process, taking care of our needs despite the language barrier"

Even for the bridal assistants who did not understand English, Yuki shares that "they were extremely nice and helpful throughout the process, taking care of our needs despite the language barrier”.

A Piece of Advice!

"Korean stars are always super skinny and they tend to make you look like one of them!”

Yuki’s advice to couples looking to Korean wedding studios for their shoots is to communicate well with the studio about your photo touch-up expectations. She shared that the overall photoshoot experience was fun and amazing and our couple loved their photos, but the end result was a tad over touched-up as “Korean stars are always super skinny and they tend to make you look like one of them!”. So if looking like a Korean star isn’t your aim then communication is key!
