A Santorini Love Story
Kristel and Carlo’s Santorini pre-wedding shoot moved through three different sides of the island, beginning among Imerovigli’s whitewashed terraces and endless Aegean views before continuing through the quieter lanes of Firostefani. As the day softened, they made their way to Finikia, where the landscape opened up and the last light stretched across the caldera. Between bright whites, deep blues, and a sunset worth slowing down for, Santorini gave their day an effortless sense of escape.
Imerovigli
Imerovigli gave Kristel and Carlo the kind of Santorini view that seems to go on forever. Whitewashed walls curved around the hillside, blue domes appeared between terraces, and beyond them was nothing but sea and sky. It was a striking place to begin, but the mood itself stayed calm. Rather than rushing from one viewpoint to another, they had time to settle into the island, take in the scale of the caldera, and simply enjoy that first feeling of being somewhere completely different from home.
Firostefani
Firostefani brought the day closer to the details of Santorini. Instead of only looking out toward the horizon, Kristel and Carlo moved through narrow paths, white terraces, blue domes, and occasional bursts of warm color tucked between the buildings. The island felt more lived-in here, with each turn revealing another small view of the sea or a quiet corner to pause in. After the openness of Imerovigli, this part of the shoot felt more intimate and playful, showing how much character exists beyond Santorini’s famous panoramas.
Finikia
Finikia became the natural final chapter as the light began to change. Away from the bright white villages, the landscape felt more open and rugged, with the sea stretching beyond the cliffs and the sun dropping slowly toward the horizon. Kristel’s deep blue gown echoed the Aegean around her, adding a dramatic note without taking away from the quietness of the moment. By then, there was nothing left to chase. They could simply stay, watch the colors shift, and let Santorini bring the day to its own ending.
Years from now, it may be the feeling of this day that returns first - the sea, the light, and having each other there.
