For Michelle, who is from Malaysia, and Zeyar, from Myanmar, traveling to the Dolomites in June felt like a natural extension of their honeymoon. Their time in the Italian Alps moved at an unhurried pace, tracing a path from the quiet morning waters of an alpine lake up to sweeping ridges and vibrant valleys. It was a journey defined by open air, striking landscapes, and an effortless connection.
Lago di Braies
The morning began on the water at Lago di Braies. With the early summer light reflecting off the crystal-clear surface, Zeyar took the oars, rowing their wooden boat gently toward the center of the lake. The surrounding pale peaks framed the quiet moment, keeping the focus intimately on the two of them. Michelle’s classic white gown contrasted beautifully with the deep alpine blues and greens. After returning to shore, they took a slow walk along the water’s edge, eventually pausing by the historic stone chapel built into the shoreline to enjoy the stillness of the mountain air.

Seceda
Leaving the valley behind, a cable car ride from Ortisei carried them up to the sweeping altitudes of Seceda. Here, the landscape shifted dramatically, opening up to jagged, iconic peaks piercing the skyline. Zeyar, now in a striking rust-toned suit, and Michelle navigated the grassy slopes hand in hand. The expansive terrain encouraged a sense of freedom, and the couple embraced the gentle incline, walking along the ridge as the wind moved through the meadow. Surrounded by towering rock formations and endless green, their connection felt anchored amidst the sheer scale of the environment.
Val di Funes
As the afternoon mellowed, the couple transitioned into casual wear for a relaxed walk through Val di Funes. The landscape here felt softer, defined by vibrant grass valleys and charming rural paths. Michelle’s light blue sundress caught the gentle breeze as they walked down the gravel trails, stopping to sit together on the grassy hillside.
