A Paris Love Story
Jackilyn and Justine’s Paris pre-wedding shoot followed the city from its brighter, easygoing side into something altogether more cinematic after dark. They began with the Eiffel Tower at Trocadéro, took a vintage car through the streets, slowed down over a café stop, and watched the city change from a Paris rooftop. By the time night fell at the Louvre, the mood had transformed completely. What began light and playful ended with a little drama, giving their Paris story a sense of progression that felt distinctly their own.
Place du Trocadéro
Trocadéro gave Jackilyn and Justine a classic beginning, with the Eiffel Tower filling the skyline and Paris opening up around them. There is a certain excitement to seeing such a familiar view in person, but the best part was having time to settle into it rather than rush on. They could stay close, enjoy the open space, and let the anticipation of the day build naturally. It was unmistakably Paris, yet the mood remained easy and personal - the kind of beginning that leaves plenty of room for everything still to come.
Vintage Car
The vintage car changed the energy almost immediately. Instead of moving from one landmark to the next, Jackilyn and Justine could experience Paris in motion, with Haussmann façades, tree-lined streets, cafés, and glimpses of the Eiffel Tower appearing as they went. There was something carefree about this part of the shoot - windows open, the city unfolding ahead, and nowhere that needed to be reached too quickly. More than a styling detail, the car gave the day a sense of adventure and made Paris feel like somewhere they were actually traveling through together.
Parisian Café
After being on the move, a café table offered the perfect change of pace. Jackilyn and Justine could sit down, order something, talk, and watch Paris continue around them without needing to do very much at all. It was a more everyday version of the city, and that simplicity made the moment feel especially personal. Travel is often remembered through the big sights, but sometimes it is these pauses - a table for two, a little people-watching, and nowhere urgent to be - that end up feeling most like the trip itself.
Paris Rooftop
From the rooftop, Paris seemed to stretch endlessly in every direction. The Eiffel Tower rose beyond rows of rooftops while the sky gradually deepened, giving Jackilyn and Justine a moment to see the city from somewhere quieter and removed from the streets below. This part of the shoot felt like a pause between two moods - the easygoing energy of the day and the more dramatic atmosphere still to come. With the city beneath them, there was time to simply take it all in before Paris slipped fully into night.
Love looks different in every city. In Paris, it stayed out a little later.
Louvre
Night transformed the Louvre into the most dramatic chapter of the shoot. The crowds and daylight faded away, leaving illuminated façades, pools of darkness, and the glass pyramid glowing against the night. Jackilyn’s red gown brought an extra sense of occasion here, standing out beautifully against the deeper tones of the surroundings. After a day that had felt light, playful, and relaxed, this final change in mood made the ending feel intentional without losing the connection at the heart of it. Paris after dark had a little more mystery, and it gave their story exactly the finish it needed.
The best stories are the ones that still feel alive long after the lights go out.
