Perth Pre-Wedding Photoshoot | Lancelin, State Buildings & UWA
A Perth Love Story
Set against the crisp autumn air of Western Australia, Yan Li & Peng Loon’s pre-wedding shoot across Perth unfolded from morning into late afternoon. Their day began along the pristine, wind-carved sand dunes of Lancelin in the early sunlight, before transitioning to the rich red-brick architecture and historic charm of the State Buildings. The experience concluded amidst the peaceful sandstone cloisters and garden courtyards of the University of Western Australia.
Lancelin Sand Dunes
The morning began early in Lancelin, where soft sunrays filtered across vast expanses of pale white sand. Dressed in light, cohesive white attire, Yan Li & Peng Loon walked along the ridges created by the coastal wind, enjoying the quiet vastness before the heat of the day set in. The untouched ripples in the terrain gave every step an intimate, unhurried feel. Leaving soft tracks behind as they moved together over the crests, they shared quiet moments of connection as the clear blue sky broadened around them, setting a peaceful tone for the rest of their journey.
In the soft morning air over the dunes, time seemed to pause just long enough to capture the quiet between them.
State Buildings
Heading into the heart of Perth, the couple explored the refined architecture of the historic State Buildings. The rich red brickwork, towering arched doorways, and classic iron lamp posts provided an elegant urban contrast to the open landscapes of the morning. Dressed in dark formalwear and a classic white gown, Yan Li & Peng Loon walked hand in hand along the paved walkways, pausing under vaulted stone entries and near grand facade entrances. The unhurried pace allowed them to enjoy the city's unique rhythm, capturing candid interactions against timeless structural details.
University of Western Australia
The day concluded surrounded by the classic architecture and tranquil gardens of UWA. Warm sunlight angled through the intricate sandstone arcades, casting long geometric shadows along the stone floor. Yan Li & Peng Loon strolled gently through the shaded cloisters, taking moments to rest against the columns and look out into the leafy courtyards. With the bride's veil gently catching the ambient breeze, the quiet heritage surroundings created a sense of permanence and calm, offering a reflective beat to round off their journey in Western Australia.
From the golden horizon of early dunes to the calm of ancient stone arches, every location held a chapter of their day.
