Tokyo Pre-Wedding Photoshoot | Tokyo Shrine, Tokyo Riverfront & Shinjuku
A Tokyo Love Story
Jane Situ & Dillon Dong ventured to Tokyo to capture a pre-wedding celebration full of character, contrast, and spontaneous warmth. Their journey gracefully connected three distinct sides of the metropolis: the serene elegance of a stone torii gate shrine, the breezy industrial charm along the Sumida Riverfront, and the electric, lantern-lit alleyways of night time Shinjuku. With radiant smiles and playful energy, every frame highlights an authentic connection made for the heart of Japan.
Tokyo Shrine
The day began in the peaceful courtyard of a quiet Tokyo shrine, framed by historic stone torii gates, lush greenery, and wooden lanterns. Jane Situ wore a striking crimson kimono embellished with golden floral patterns, her hair adorned with delicate white and red blossoms, while Dillon Dong complemented her in a deep royal blue haori and striped hakama. Holding a white paper parasol, they shared intimate looks across stone pathways and leaned close behind a painted folding fan. The rich colors of their traditional attire brought a vibrant, timeless warmth to the sanctuary's cool, shadowy groves.
From quiet stone torii gates to luminous city alleyways, their love illuminated every corner of Tokyo.
Tokyo Riverfront
Shifting to the open waterfront near the River, the mood loosened into a relaxed urban walk. Jane Situ changed into an elegant strapless tulle ballgown with a sweetheart neckline, while Dillon Dong wore a tailored dark navy suit with a burgundy bow tie. Walking hand-in-hand along elevated steel bridges and stone promenades, they posed with the distant Tokyo Skytree shrouded in soft fog behind them. The wide river breeze and cool-toned backdrop highlighted their cheerful laughter, capturing a light, cinematic feel as they danced along the water's edge.
Shinjuku
As night descended, the couple dove straight into the glowing heart of Shinjuku's Oide Yokocho and Kabukicho districts. Under red paper lanterns and neon street signs, Jane Situ kept her airy white dress while Dillon Dong donned a dark suit with a red tie. Posing playfully with Daruma dolls and Lucky Cat statues outside lively izakayas, their irrepressible energy lit up the narrow alleys. From romantic embraces inside classic telephone booths to quick kisses across bustling crosswalks, their vibrant night walk was an unscripted celebration of Tokyo's iconic evening pulse.
Framed by ancient traditions and bright city lights, their unforgettable Tokyo story was written step by step.
