Seeking a blend of timeless tradition and open, tranquil landscapes, Nami & Mark traveled to Kyoto during peak spring. Their day began along the historic canals of Gion in traditional attire, before easing into sleek modern tailoring through ancient stone laneways. As the afternoon light softened, they headed up into the hills to share a quiet golden hour with the local deer overlooking the city below.
Gion Shirakawa Canal
Morning light filters softly through the blush-pink petals blooming over the canal bridges. Nami wore a delicate pale pink kimono featuring subtle blush motifs, matched with Mark's structured dark montsuki haori. Holding a oiled-paper wagasa umbrella, they walked slowly past wooden machiya storefronts, the quiet hum of the stream flowing beside them. Every step reflected the gentle, unhurried rhythm of Kyoto in early spring, where quiet heritage meets the softest seasonal tones.

Ninenzaka & Yasaka Pagoda
Transitioning into refined evening elegance, Nami changed into an off-the-shoulder white gown paired with a soft, texturized bouquet, while Mark wore a sharp black tuxedo. Sweeping views over the tiled roofs of Ninenzaka led toward the iconic Yasaka Pagoda framed by blooming cherry boughs. Walking side by side along the quiet stone pavement, their relaxed laughter brought a fresh, modern energy into the ancient streetscape.
Mount Wakakusa, Nara
As the afternoon tapered toward sunset, the shoot concluded atop the sweeping grassy slopes of Mount Wakakusa. Framed by lonely cherry trees and panoramic views of the valley below, Nami and Mark walked through the low grass as wild deer gravitated toward them in the fading light. The cool dusk air and golden horizon created a calm, boundless backdrop, bringing their Kyoto trip to a peaceful, unforgettable close.
