Drawn by the timeless romance of Japan’s ancient capitals, Grace & Charlton traveled to Kyoto in full spring to capture their love story. Their journey began amidst pale pink cherry blossom boughs in Nara before wandering through Gion's historic stone alleys and crowning the day high above the city skyline. From traditional attire to playful pop-culture details, their shoot folded tender moments and personal passions into one unforgettable celebration.
Nara Park
Morning light filtered softly through pale cherry blossoms as Grace & Charlton stepped into Nara Park. Dressed in a classic white wedding gown and sharp black suit, the couple shared quiet laughs while gently hand-feeding free-roaming deer under low-hanging branches. Soft pink petals rested on the wooden footbridges and stone paths, creating a tranquil spring scene. Every gentle breeze brought a shower of blossoms around them, setting a relaxed, joyful rhythm for the rest of their shoot.

Gion
In the heart of Gion, Grace wearing a floral pink kimono and Charlton in soft blue swapped Western attire for classic Japanese style. Carrying a traditional oil-paper umbrella, they strolled past dark timber machiya, red wooden fences, and stone pathways lined with fully bloomed sakura. The vibrant texture of their silk garments stood out against the historic streetscape, creating a refined sense of harmony. The atmosphere felt cozy and slow, capturing the rich, grounding charm of old Kyoto.
Mount Wakakusa
As late afternoon turned the sky golden, the couple ventured up Mount Wakakusa. Overlooking the vast cityscape, Grace stepped into a sleek mermaid silhouette gown while Charlton donned his suit. In a playful twist, both layered Gryffindor and Slytherin Hogwarts robes over their formal wear and raised wands against the wide horizon. Nearby deer grazed peacefully on the grassy slope as the couple shared warm laughs, ending their Kyoto narrative on a high, deeply personal note.
