A Italy Love Story
Erika and Mark’s Lake Como pre-wedding shoot had an easy, unhurried rhythm from start to finish. They began around Bellagio in relaxed summer looks, taking in the lake views and quiet corners of town before changing into their wedding outfits for a boat ride across Lake Como. The day ended at Villa Melzi Gardens, where manicured lawns, elegant terraces, and mountain views gave them plenty of space to slow down and enjoy the last part of the shoot together.
Bellagio Town
Erika and Mark started the day in Bellagio with a much more casual look, which suited the town perfectly. Erika wore a pink floral dress while Mark kept things simple in a white shirt and neutral trousers. They moved between lakefront viewpoints, garden paths, and the narrow streets around town, stopping whenever a corner caught their eye. With the mountains sitting across the water and Bellagio’s greenery all around them, the photos feel more like part of a summer holiday than a formal pre-wedding session. It was an easy beginning before the day shifted into something more dressed up.

Lake Como
For the next part of the shoot, Erika and Mark changed into their wedding looks and headed onto the lake by boat. Erika’s fitted white gown felt completely different from her earlier floral dress, while Mark’s black suit gave the photos a clean, classic contrast against the blue-gray water and surrounding mountains. They spent the ride sitting together at the stern, leaning against the wooden rails, and simply taking in the view as villas passed along the shoreline. The boat gave this part of the day a more polished feel, without losing the relaxed energy they had started with in Bellagio.
Villa Melzi Gardens
Villa Melzi Gardens gave Erika and Mark a quieter setting for the final part of the shoot. They moved between open lawns, clipped hedges, stone terraces, and rooms that framed the lake almost like a painting. Erika’s gown stood out beautifully against all the greenery, especially when the train was allowed to fall naturally along the paths and steps. There was no need to rush through the gardens; they had room to walk, pause by the balustrades, and take in the mountains across the water. It was a calm finish after a day that had moved from Bellagio streets to the middle of the lake.
By the end of the day, the best part was simply having nowhere else to be.
