Embracing the ethereal beauty of Japan's spring season, Tan Mei Zheng & Tan Chee Kin travelled to Tokyo and Mt. Fuji to celebrate their romance. From the timeless cultural grounds of Senso-Ji Temple to delicate cherry blossom canopies in a serene city park and expansive lake views, their pre-wedding shoot captured every quiet look and shared smile. It was an unhurried, romantic journey under soft spring skies.
Senso-Ji Temple
The photoshoot began at historic Senso-Ji Temple, where red lacquered structures and classic temple grounds created an authentic heritage atmosphere. Tan Mei Zheng wore a soft blush-pink kimono embroidered with delicate floral patterns, paired with a white parasol, while Tan Chee Kin stood beside her in a dark navy-black montsuki kimono with striped hakama. Together, they stopped by the wooden ema wish boards, made gentle offerings at the water basin, and strolled along the vibrant red corridors, enjoying quiet morning moments surrounded by history.
Beneath gentle cherry blossoms and quiet temple eaves, every step together felt like a soft spring dream.
Tokyo Park
Transitioning to a modern romantic look, Tan Mei Zheng changed into a sleeveless white A-line bridal gown with a long flowing veil, while Tan Chee Kin wore a sharp black suit accented with a pink bowtie. Beneath a breathtaking canopy of pale pink cherry blossoms in full bloom, the couple shared playful embraces on park benches and strolled along stone stairways. Light petals drifted through the air around them, adding a dreamlike touch to their quiet, joyful smiles.
Lake Kawaguchiko
For the final destination, the couple headed to the tranquil shores of Lake Kawaguchiko. Surrounded by tall pampas grasses, pine trees, and the vast open waters with Mt. Fuji resting softly in the distance under a quiet sky, the mood felt relaxed and grounded. Tan Chee Kin wrapped his arms around Tan Mei Zheng as her veil caught the cool lakeside breeze, kneeling gently to present a fresh white bouquet before ending the day in a cozy embrace on the pebble shore.
