They walked, talked, and let the city stay lively around them, creating a set of photographs that feels unmistakably Milanese.

John and Hannah started at Milan Cathedral, making the most of its dramatic Gothic architecture and bright blue sky. Hannah wore a clean, fitted white gown with a veil and bouquet, while John’s blue suit brought a modern contrast to all that pale stone. They walked through the cathedral surroundings, paused beside the towering façade, and let the strong architectural lines frame them without needing much else. There is a confident simplicity to this part of the shoot: a classic bridal look, one of Milan’s biggest landmarks, and plenty of movement to keep the photographs feeling relaxed rather than overly posed.

From the cathedral, John and Hannah carried on into Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and the streets around central Milan. Beneath the glass-and-iron roof, their wedding looks suddenly felt a little more fashion-forward, surrounded by ornate façades, tiled floors, cafés, and the steady flow of people passing through. They kept moving beyond the arcade too, crossing streets and walking through the city with the Duomo still appearing between buildings. Instead of treating the crowds as something to avoid, this part of the shoot embraced Milan as it actually feels: elegant, busy, stylish, and constantly in motion.
By the end, Milan wasn’t just where they took the photos. It was part of the day itself.
