Tokyo & Mt Fuji Pre-Wedding Photoshoot | Asakusa Temple, Maple Corridor, Susuki Fields & Lake Kawaguchiko
A Tokyo Love Story
Chasing the rich colors and romantic energy of peak autumn, Natalie Mok & Alson Chia travelled across Japan for their pre-wedding photoshoot. Their route took them from the lively, historic paths of historic Asakusa to the fiery maple canopies surrounding Mt. Fuji and the calm lakeside shores. Each location offered a fresh backdrop to capture their easy smiles, warm warmth, and genuine connection.
Asakusa Temple
The photoshoot began at Asakusa Temple, where vibrant red columns and classic wooden architecture set an authentic cultural atmosphere. Natalie wore a striking red kimono patterned with detailed floral illustrations and holding an ornate paper fan, while Alson stepped out in a sleek black montsuki kimono with striped hakama. Holding a delicate white paper parasol, the couple walked hand in hand near the iconic five-story pagoda, enjoying the crisp morning air and sharing quiet glances amidst historic surroundings.
Wrapped in rich autumn hues and golden air, every step together felt like a quiet celebration.
Maple Corridor
Journeying towards Mt. Fuji, the couple changed into western attire—Natalie in an elegant sweetheart-neckline white gown, and Alson in a stylish dark suit with a burgundy bowtie. Under the vibrant crimson and gold trees of the Maple Corridor, gentle sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting a warm light over them. Posing along rustic wooden fences and holding a warm-toned autumn bouquet, Natalie & Alson caught fallen maple leaves in their hands, laughing as the foliage formed a romantic frame above.
Suzuki Fields
Moving into open nature, the couple stopped at the expansive Susuki grass fields near Lake Kawaguchiko. Tall golden pampas plumes swayed gently in the wind, with the magnificent shape of Mt. Fuji clear under the blue sky. Framed by pine branches and glowing tall grasses, Alson pulled Natalie in close for a quiet moment. Natalie’s veil caught the light as they walked through the fields, surrounded by soft textures and breathtaking mountain views.
Lake Kawaguchiko
As afternoon turned to dusk, the shoot concluded along the pebbled shoreline of Lake Kawaguchiko. With the wide lake reflecting the soft sky and Mt. Fuji towering in the background, the atmosphere felt peaceful and free. Natalie & Alson let their playful side shine, throwing peace signs to the camera, jumping into the air with joy, and resting quietly by the water's edge as the sun began to set, bringing their autumn journey to a memorable close.
From lively heritage streets to tranquil lakeside skies, their golden journey will remain forever captured.
