Taiwan Pre-Wedding Photoshoot | Dadaocheng, Shifen & Jiufen
A Taiwan Love Story
Embracing the romantic, moody atmosphere of a drizzly day in northern Taiwan, Jonathan & Elly set out on a pre-wedding journey filled with nostalgic charm. Their day unfolded across three storied locations—beginning along the historic fabric markets and retro storefronts of Dadaocheng, continuing to the iconic railway tracks of Shifen to write wishes and release colorful sky lanterns under transparent umbrellas, and concluding in the evening amidst the glowing red lanterns and narrow stone staircases of Jiufen Old Street.

Da Dao Cheng
The shoot opened in the charming neighborhood of Dadaocheng. Elly wore an effortless white midi dress while Jonathan complemented her in a relaxed white linen shirt and khaki trousers. Wandering through Yongle Fabric Market's colorful textile stalls, sharing local desserts at retro wooden shopfronts, and walking hand-in-hand under clear umbrellas along rain-slicked sidewalks, their spontaneous interactions captured an authentic, date-night lightness.
Gentle drizzle and retro streetfronts paved a warm, intimate start to their Taiwan journey.
Shifen
Heading into the misty hills of Pingxi, the couple arrived at Shifen Old Street. Elly changed into a sleek white bridal dress while Jonathan layer a dark navy jacket over his shirt. Standing along the historic train tracks with transparent umbrellas to shelter from the rain, they painted handwritten blessings onto a colorful sky lantern before watching it lift into the cloudy sky together. The shared laughter and cozy embrace on the tracks created a timeless memory.
Jiufen
For their final chapter, Jonathan & Elly arrived in Jiufen as dusk settled over the mountain village. Elly made a striking statement by changing into a vibrant crimson red strapless gown, while Jonathan stepped out in a tailored black suit. Posing on the iconic narrow stone staircases framed by glowing red lanterns, enjoying warm dessert bowls, and leaning close along wooden teahouse balconies, the rich color contrast and warm night lights brought their rainy pre-wedding shoot to a magical close.
From rain-slicked old street alleys to floating lanterns and glowing red lights, their story shone bright.
