For Huixin & Junhan, the idea was to capture different sides of Japan in one trip — something scenic, something traditional, and something more modern and lifestyle-driven.
We started at Chureito Pagoda, one of the most iconic views of Mount Fuji. This location requires a bit of planning — timing, light, and crowd control matter a lot — so we scheduled the shoot earlier in the day to get cleaner frames. The combination of the pagoda, Fuji, and their traditional outfits gave us a strong, classic start to the gallery.
From there, we moved to Lake Kawaguchiko, where the pace naturally slowed down. Compared to Chureito, this part of the shoot was more relaxed and open. We planned multiple spots around the lake to create variety — wide scenic views, closer intimate shots, and golden hour moments with softer light. This helped balance the more structured compositions from earlier in the day.
In the evening, we shifted into a completely different mood in Shinjuku. This was intentional — to bring in a modern, city-side of Tokyo. Neon lights, street movement, and night energy gave the shoot a lifestyle feel, almost like a date night. It added contrast to the overall gallery and made the story feel more complete.
Overall, this shoot was designed to cover three distinct experiences — iconic Japan, natural landscapes, and urban lifestyle — while keeping the flow smooth and enjoyable for the couple throughout the day.
