The day began in Dadaocheng, where a light drizzle set the mood for the start of the shoot. Melissa and Hardy arrived in relaxed, casual outfits, both wearing denim jeans paired with taupe brown knitted long sleeve tops. Our crew came prepared with transparent umbrellas, which turned out to fit the aesthetic perfectly. They spent the morning strolling through the old streets, stopping along the way to pick up a few refreshing juice drinks and sharing them as they explored.
Next, they made their way to Jiufen. Melissa changed into a striking red gown while Hardy wore a black suit, creating a beautiful contrast against the lantern-lit surroundings. While walking through the alleys, they passed a stall selling tanghulu and decided to give it a try. The bright candied fruits made for a fun little moment, and of course, a few photos had to be taken while they enjoyed the sweet treat.
The final stop was a bustling night market, which turned out to be the highlight of the shoot. Melissa changed into a white high-low gown, which made it easier to move around the busy streets. The evening atmosphere was lively and full of color. They stopped by a fruit juice stall where rows of fresh fruits were displayed at the counter, adding vibrant colors to the photos.
From there, the night turned into a little adventure. They dropped by an arcade stall to play a few games and relive some childhood memories, then continued exploring the market while trying different street snacks and sausages. To wrap up the long day, they made one last stop at 7-Eleven for cup noodles. Sitting down with their instant noodles and sharing a laugh, the shoot ended on a cozy note after a full day of exploring Taiwan through its food and streets.
